Our assignment for the weekend is Giovanni’s Room, Part 2, Chapter 2.

It’s an EMMY Award-winning documentary, just an hour long, about the little-known story of the first known act of collective, violent resistance to the social oppression of LGBTQ+ Americans – a 1966 riot in San Francisco’s impoverished Tenderloin neighborhood, three years before Stonewall.
